Jewelry Care

RyKier pieces are designed to be worn, but a few simple habits will keep your solid metals and engineered finishes looking beautiful for years to come.

Everyday Care

  • Last On, First Off: Put your jewelry on only after applying skincare, perfume, and hair products.

  • Keep It Dry: Remove your pieces before showering, swimming, or cleaning.

  • The Gym Rule: Please remove rings and bracelets before working out. Heavy impact and friction against gym equipment will cause immediate scratches.

  • Storage: Store each piece separately in its original RyKier pouch or box. Do not toss pieces loosely into a bag, as chains will tangle and finishes can scuff against one another.

Cleaning Solid Sterling Silver (.925)

Our solid silver pieces feature a beautiful, dark oxidized patina in the recessed areas to highlight the sculptural texture.

  • How to clean: Use a standard silver polishing cloth (like a Sunshine cloth) gently on the high points of the metal to bring back the shine.

  • What to avoid: Never use liquid "silver dips" or chemical cleaners. These will permanently strip the dark, intentional contrast from the deep textures of your ring.

Cleaning 18k Gold & White Rhodium Finishes

Our colorways feature a heavy 2.5-micron layer of 18k Yellow Gold or rare White Rhodium over a solid silver core. Because these are applied surface layers, they need a gentler touch.

  • How to clean: Wipe gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, or wash gently with warm water and mild soap. Pat completely dry before storing.

  • What to avoid: Never use treated silver polishing cloths (like Sunshine cloths), abrasive toothpaste, or harsh chemical cleaners. The micro-abrasives in these will strip the gold or rhodium finish right off your piece.

Stones & Settings

While our settings are secure, daily wear and impact can cause prongs to shift over time. If a stone ever feels loose, stop wearing the piece immediately and email us—we are always happy to help you get it tightened by a trusted jeweler.
