The pendant is digitally sculpted in ZBrush in our Pittsburgh studio to refine proportion, edge, and material presence before final production, then precision-finished with our studio partners in Bangkok. Its open silhouette creates a lighter visual footprint within a more substantial silver form, allowing the black strand and the skin beneath to become part of the composition.
The Black Spinel beads are hand-knotted on black silk, a traditional construction that helps protect each stone individually while giving the necklace fluid articulation and an intentional drape. The faceted surface of the spinel adds a sharper, more controlled light than a smooth bead, creating a clean contrast against the sculptural silver pendant.
At 37 grams, it has enough weight to feel convincing on the body while maintaining movement through the strand. This is a structural beaded necklace built through contrast, negative space, and material presence rather than ornament alone.
